Josh Naylor of the Canadian Junior National Team/Ontario Bluejays stopped by to give an inspirational talk about following your dream, working hard in school and giving it your best as an athlete. Josh has been blessed with an amazing talent as a baseball player. He is grateful and he shares his appreciation with students. The top class raising the most money for the chocolate bar fundraiser was Mrs. McGuire's Grade 4/5. They had the opportunity to have a pizza lunch with Josh and he autographed a baseball for each student.

Danny Cahill, winner of the Biggest Loser is coming to Holy Names Catholic High School. On Thursday, May 8th at 7:00 pm, come learn a story and learn strategies that will change your life forever. “No matter the obstacle, challenge or dream – nothing is too big if you ‘Lose Your Quit’ and decide to go the distance. The hard part is getting through those times when it seems like you are making little or no progress – like everything you’re doing just isn’t making a difference. The truth is that the difference between those who complete the race set before them and those who give up is a single decision made a thousand times over – to simply FINISH! So how do you make that decision over and over? Listen to Danny Cahill, Season 8 winner of NBC’s The Biggest Loser share what he learned on the Ranch in California while losing 239 pounds in less than 7 months that made the difference in his Journey. The very lessons he learned there are the same principles you can use in your daily struggles to overcome anything life can throw your way!”
Today the Stella Maris and St. Bernard School Communities came together to celebrate Catholic Education Week at St. John the Baptist Church. Thank you to Mrs. Kathy Verardi and the Campus Crew team for organizing such a beautiful Liturgy. Thank you to the St. John the Baptist Pastoral Team for guiding us in our faith journey.
